Tipp students pitch for Dragons Den

Out of hundreds of applicants a shortlist of over 60 ideas from talented young students aged between 12-18 years attended the All-Ireland Junior Dragons’ Den final sponsored by Bank of Ireland in Dublin.

After the event 20 students were shortlisted by the panel to go forward to pitch their ideas to the Dragons. The names of the successful candidates will be revealed when the Junior Dragons’ Den episodes air in May.

The three judges, John Keegan, Director of Distribution Channels Bank of Ireland, Peaches Kemp, Director of itsa Limited and Jenny Finnegan, Producer of Junior Dragons’ Den all agreed that the standard of the competition was very high. Those selected to go into the Den will pitch for the chance to win a €2,000 bursary, which will support them in bringing their business to the next stage.

Students from CBS Secondary, Carrick on Suir, Presentation Secondary, Clonmel, and Borrisokane represented County Tipperary at the final.
