The late Tom Tuohy

The sad news filtered through Tipperary Town and surrounding areas recently of the passing of Tom Tuohy.

Tom was born in April 1927. Tom was educated at Ballyhurst N.S. Tom married Mary Kelly,whose father Paddy was a well known Feather Merchant,in 1952. Tom had a gifted pair of hands,building walls of block and stone. A lot of stone work around Tipp town i.e cobblestones at Pike Cross were laid by him.Tom also loved gardening as everyone admired his vegetables he would give them away.He loved life always had a smile or a joke to tell. The family would like to pay tribute to the priests of the parish especially Fr James Kennedy . Also special thanks to his doctors at St Michael’s Street.Tom is survived by his wife Mary, sons Michael, Paddy, Tom, Martin and his daughter Bridie. May he rest in peace. Never forget him always in our hearts.
