Dear Editor,

My brothers and I recently travelled from England to join other members of our family for the funeral of Patrick Joy in Grangemockler.

I would like to use the columns of your newspaper to express the thanks of Patrick’s entire family for the wonderful support shown by the community that he was so proudly part of, from the funeral parlour through to the church services and his subsequent burial.

The entire ceremony, including the guard of honour by the GAA is one that will never be forgotten by his family and friends.
