Kelly promises funding for South Tipperary road repairs
Minister of State Alan Kelly.
Alan Kelly TD, Minister for Public Transport and Commuter Affairs has ensured funding for emergency works on roads in South Tipperary.
Minister Kelly said - “I met with a delegation from South Tipperary County Council last week, to discuss funding to repair the South Tipperary’s flood and rain damaged roads following the worst summer for some time.
“The delegation appealed for funding to undertake emergency works on roads in the area, and as a Minister in the Department of Transport, I was delighted to be in a position to ensure that they got the funding”.
“The emergency road works will go ahead from this week, this work is essential as some of the roads have been closed for a number of weeks”.
The areas affected are in Fethard, Hollyford, Ballyporeen and Araglen.
