Kitty receives new hearing system to celebrate 100th birthday

Kitty Boyle has been a loyal customer with Specsavers in Clonmel for 20 years. She is also the store's oldest customer, having just celebrated her 100th birthday.

To celebrate Ms Boyle's momentous birthday, the Specsavers hearing centre in Clonmel has teamed up with Starkey Laboratories to present her with a new, updated hearing system.

Hearing aid audiologist Dermot Dougan, who owns and run the local hearing centre, says: "Kitty has attended our practice, travelling 12 miles by taxi on her own, for the last 20 years and we have been delighted to offer her professional hear care and eye care throughout this time.

Over the years we have been working alongside the community to provide the best possible service. Kitty's loyalty as a customer is a great tribute to our efforts and we are delighted to join in celebrating her 100th birthday."

Mr. Dougan fitted Ms Boyle's new programmable digital hearing aids to suit her exact requirements.

She attended the fitting with her nephew Donal and then enjoyed a celebratory lunch.

She also purchased a new Sky+ system for her birthday and intends to watch as much rugby and racing as she can.
