Man flees car accident scene
Gardai investigating a car accident near Bansha are seeking help from any witnesses.
The male driver of a car involved in a two vehicle crash near Bansha last Friday afternoon ran from the accident scene into nearby Kilshane Woods.
Gardai are appealing to anyone, who witnessed the collision on the main Bansha to Tipperary Road at Kilshane or the motorist running away from the scene to contact Tipperary Garda Station.
The accident involving a black Ford Focus heading in the direction of Bansha and a grey Citreon estate occurred at 4.15pm on Friday. The occupant of the grey Citreon estate ran into the woods after the crash. The two elderly ladies in the other vehicle, a black Ford Focus, were not reported to have suffered any significant injuries.
An ambulance and fire brigade unit attended the accident scene.
“We are looking for any witnesses to the accident to contact us or anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously in the Kilshane Woods area,” said a Tipperary Town Garda Station spokesman.
