Mass at The Cross

The annual Mass at the Holy Year Cross on the foothills of the Comeraghs, overlooking Clonmel, will be celebrated as usual at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday, August 2nd.

To mark the 60th anniversary since the Cross was erected, some pilgrims will gather at Ss Peter and Paul's Church at 8.30 am and proceed to the Old Bridge, where they will begin the climb reciting the Stations of the Cross along the way.

The 60th anniversary celebrations will also include a photo exhibition in the Main Guard running from this Saturday, July 31st to August 18th.

The opening of the exhibition will coincide with the launch of photographer John Kelly's commemorative book of photos of those who have attended the annual Mass down the years.
