"Catch me being good" the title of parenting workshop

A one-day parenting workshop will take place on Saturday, March 20th from 9.30 to 4.30 in the Community Resource Centre, Kickham Street Clonmel. This workshop will enable parents to make the enormous task of good parenting a more enjoyable and easier one. Parents very often feel that they can improve their children's behaviour by fault-finding and punishing, rather than using encouragement, and recognising their child's strengths and capabilities.

By focusing on these positive things, the all-important self-esteem of the child is greatly improved. "Catching me being Good" and telling your child that can have a magical effect on both the behaviour and the relationship between parent and child.

Ruth Farrell will be the facilitator for the workshop. This is the third in a series of very successful and popular parenting workshops given by Ruth recently. She is well known as a parent educator and a promoter of encouragement as a valuable tool in order to get good results. Early booking is advised as these workshops tend to fill up quickly and places are limited.

She will explore the programme in three easy steps - "Catch them being good", "Focus on encouragement", and "Introduce a family belief system". This workshop is an experiential one and will give parents the skills to put all 3 steps into practice.

Enquiries to 052-6123979 or 086-3989513.
