The Rock of Cashel is currently hosting an exhibition in the Hall of the Vicars Choral to mark the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s state visit to Ireland last year.

The exhibition, which is being run by the Office of Public Works (OPW), contains six large-scale displays, featuring photo and video montages of highlights of the historic visit.

The displays highlight the queen’s attendance at sites managed by the OPW, including Áras an Úachtaráin, the Garden of Remembrance, the War Memorial Gardens, Farmleigh, Dublin Castle and the Rock of Cashel.

There are also several replica artefacts on show including, the Cashel Crozier and a replica of the place setting and menu from the State banquet at Dublin Castle. Also on permanent display is the visitor book signed by HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

The exhibition runs until Sunday, August 12. Opening times 9am to 6.15pm daily.
