Sexual assault on woman in Tipp town
Gardai are investigating a sexual assault on a female in Tipperary Town in the early hours of last Sunday.
The victim was attacked by a man at the rear of Tipperary Post Office on Davis Street around 1am on January 13.
Gardai at Tipperary Garda Station have appealed to any members of the public who may have witnessed this crime and seen suspicious activity in the vicinity on this night to assist them with their investigation.
A spokesman for Tipperary Garda Station said the assault victim was very traumatised after the assault. Tipperary Garda Station can be contacted at (062) 51212.
Meanwhile, gardai are continuing their investigation into an aggravated burglary on a house in the Clerihan area last week in which a woman resident was injured.
The raider, who wore dark clothing and a balaclava, entered the house around 9pm on Monday, January 7 and stole a quantity of cash.
Gardai in Cahir are investigating the crime and have appealed to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in this area on this night to contact Cahir Garda Station at (052) 7441222.
