Snooker stars in Cahir

Former snooker world champions Ken Doherty and Denis Taylor will take to the floor in Cahir tonight (Wednesday) in a showcase of their snooker skills.

Congratulations to Kieran Tobin of Kilnabutler, Cahir who was the lucky winner of last week's competition in The Nationalist to win two tickets to go along to the show.

As part of his prize Kieran will also receive dinner and one night's b&b at the Cahir House Hotel, where the exhibition is taking place.

The evening is being held to raise funds for Crumlin Childrens' Hospital in Dublin.

Both Ken and Denis will be taking on the best of local talent on the night, playing against each other, performing trick shot routines as well as recounting stories and anecdotes from thier years in the game. It promises to be a fun night and will be a hugely entertaining evening.

The event will be preceded by a VIP reception with both players giving people the chance to chat with them and take photos. VIP ticket holders will also have a reserved front row seat for the event.
