We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St. Mary’s Corrine Grogan-Walsh, William O’Brien Street, who was christened recently. Congratulations to parents Evan and Lauren, godparents Hazel and Patrice, grandparents and extended family.

Monsignor Olden launches book

The Mayor of Waterford, Cllr. Jim Darcy and Bishop Lee launched the book The life and Times of Patrick Comerford O.S.A. (1586-1652) in the new Viking Waterford Museum. Patrick Comerford was Bishop of Waterford from 1629-1652. This book deals with the efforts, achievements and failures of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore in the Counter-Reformation period.

Day Care Centre thanks

Patsy Butler, manager of the Day Care Centre for the Elderly in Irishtown thanks all who supported their recent table quiz. It was a great success due to the generosity of people with their time.

Senior Church Choir

St. Mary’s Senior Church Choir is seeking new members. If you are a soprano, alto, tenor or bass then St. Mary’s is the Choir for you. Ladies and gentlemen interested in joining should come along to practice on Thursdays in St Mary’s CBS at 8pm. There’s no practice on the last Thursday of the month.
