Stagecraft will stage Annie

Following another hugely entertaining and vibrant season of shows the team at Stagecraft youth theatre company are opening their doors again to new members. Stagecraft are enrolling for the next season of workshops on this Saturday, 11th September in The Sisters Of Charity School, Mary Street, Clonmel, from Midday to 2pm.

Current members have to re-register to continue with activities for the forthcoming year. Stagecraft have also applied for the rights to Annie, which will be a major production in December, directed by Lisa O' Brien. Auditions are to be held in the coming weeks.

Stagecraft can accept young people from the age of 7 to 20 years. This year the company are diversifying yet again and providing three strands of training: Drama, Musical Theatre and Film to cater for the needs and tastes of members.

The drama programmes have been running since 1998 and are renowned for the child- centred and fun approach to theatre-making. The drama workshops culminate in the full-scale theatre productions, which are an ideal opportunity to showcase recently- learned skills with family and friends.

Stagecraft want to ensure that young people in Clonmel have access to affordable arts facilities and are given an opportunity to hone their skills in a friendly and professional environment.

The workshops are facilitated by staff director Lisa O'Brien, who was a member of Stagecraft before her call as a director.
