TIRD loyalty scheme success

At a recent meeting it was heartening to hear that Christmas shopping in Tipperary Town had been a success.

The frosty weather definitely contributed to business sales but all agreed that the Loyalty Voucher Scheme, organised by the Business Promotions section of TIRD /CC, made a great impact and that the 2010 Christmas illuminations were also an encouraging factor. Well done to the people who gave a large amount of time and effort to these Christmas promotions.

Tipp IRD/CC are forever looking at new and meaningful ways to promote Tipperary and currently we are in the process of launching another exciting initiative that our members will be hearing more about over the coming weeks so keep a look out for that.

Meetings with the Tipp IRD/ CC committee and various groups and organisations continue in the New Year and we look forward to working with Bord Gais, Ruby Card, South Tipp Enterprise Board and our other partners in 2011. Indeed, if you are not a member of TIRD/CC already it would really be beneficial to become one and by doing so you will be helping Tipperary and its hinterland to be economically vibrant into the future. Please contact the office at Tel:062 31244 for more information on membership.

The TIRD/CC computer training room continues with classes for beginners in Information Technology. Places still remain on the Friday morning classes. If you would like more information please ring 087 6243336. If your business would like some information on computer training please contact the office at 062 31244.

Tipp IRD/Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
