Top country star to headline at Galballly Garden Fete

A Louisiana born country star that recently scored a major hit with a tribute to his foster mother is to appear as the headline act at this year's Galbally Garden Fete.

Robert Mizzell, now resident in Mullingar and one of Ireland's top entertainment acts, captured the emotional heart strings with a song called, 'Mama Courtney' which was written by Henry McMahon of The Mainliners.

Now Robert is looking forward to a visit to Galbally on Sunday, August 29 when the local community council hosts its annual garden fete which has been running for over three decades.

"I'm really looking forward to making a return appearance in Galbally", the singer, who first made it big with 'Say You Love Me', told The Nationalist.

"I can recall my last visit there, looking out at the backdrop of the beautiful Galtee Mountains and hundreds of people singing along with myself and The Country Kings.

"We met so many fans that day and the local ladies committee made us some delicious apple pie and tea. It was superb. The Galballly Garden Fete has a unique atmosphere and I'm really looking forward to the day, " Robert Mizzell concluded.

The Galbally Garden Fete will feature many other attractions as well with a sky diving exhibition, a fly over by the Irish Coastguard Service, the 'Bucking Broncho', open air bingo and much more.

The Nationalist will keep you posted and you can also call either 086 – 2739940 or 087 – 6123334 for more details.
