Vintage Rally to be held again at Tipp Racecourse

Following on from last year's success, the Tipperary Vintage Rally will enjoy its second year at the Tipperary Racecourse on Easter Sunday. Last year, the Tipperary Vintage Rally raised a staggering €28,000 for South Tipperary Hospice.

The organisers are once again determined to provide a good day out for the whole family as well as enthusiasts for vintage and classic machinery of all types.

In addition to a fascinating collection of tractors, cars, bikes, trucks and farm machinery from over the years there will be fairground rides, face painting, model aircraft and a whole host of other attractions including a 60-member gospel choir.

This year the dog show will have two classes, show dogs and family pets with trophies kindly donated by Arra Veterinary Clinic whilst the photography competition has a digital camera as first prize generously provided by Kissanes Pharmacy and the chance to have the winning entries published in The Nationalist Newspaper. Other contests include a wheel changing competition and tractor balancing challenge.

In the interests of encouraging the less well represented manufacturers it was decided to give each rally a theme in the belief that by bringing together the slightly rarer vehicles and machines their profile would be raised amongst show goers and other collectors. This year Porsche has been chosen as the featured manufacturer and it is intended to have a wide display of both their tractors and cars present.

The organisers welcome entries from all eligible vehicles and exhibitors as well as look forward to providing an enjoyable day for every one. Full details can be found on the shows website at www.tipprally.com.
