Class Act Music & Drama Group Classes & Adult Classes

The new term of Class Act Theatre Productions Music and Drama Group recommences in the Marian Hall on Tuesday 14th September.

5 to 10 years at 4pm. 11 to 16 years at 5.15pm. We will be producing 'Annie' at the end of November. New members are most welcome.

A brand new Adult Drama Course is starting on Tuesday 14th September at 8pm in the Marian Hall. For further details, please contact Maureen at 087 2739406.

New Art Exhibition at the Excel

'Somewhere In-Between', an exhibition of artwork, opened on Friday, 3rd September at the Tipperary Excel Art Gallery.

The work is by French born artist Isabelle Gaborit, who now resides in Galway.

Originally from La Rochelle in the south west of France, as a student she gained a foundation in sculpture, drawing and painting at l'ecole des beaux arts in Poitiers. In 2006 she graduated with an honours degree in fine arts from GMIT, Galway. Since then she has been exhibiting her work extensively, among others: Enniskillen visual Arts Open; Samhlaiocht gallery, Tralee; Watergate Theatre Upstairs Gallery, Kilkenny; Gallery of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China; the Mill Theatre Gallery, Dublin and the Loft Gallery, Dublin 2.She is now a member of Artspace.

Isabelle takes her inspiration from the Holy Wells/ground waters of Ireland which bears the record of the relationship between the land and its people. The exhibition runs until 4th October. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Three Drives Family Resource Centre Classes

The Three Drives Family Resource Centre are offering a host of programmes for Autumn 2010. These courses are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Cookery - Family foods and nutrition starting Tuesday 14th September for 6-weeks.

First Aid, Order of Malta on Wednesday 15th Sept. 10am to 12pm.

Children's Art Class – Monday 20th Sept. 10.30am to 1pm.

Tipperary I.C.A

The Tipperary I.C.A. resumes with a meeting on Monday September 13th at 8pm in the Marion Hall. A talk on the use of tupperware will be featured. All are welcome

Fitzgerald Bridge Club

Fitzgerald Bridge Club will recommence on Monday 13th September at Ballykisteen Hotel. All new and existing members welcome.

Extraordinary Story

On Thursday 16th September at 8pm in the Excel, Des Marnane will tell the extraordinary story of Sean Treacy's father, who died when the IRA leader was a child. This story has remained hidden and concerns a family tearing itself apart over land. The lecture is organised by Tipperary Town Historical Society. The subscription is €5 and all proceeds go to St Vincent's Day Care Centre.

St Ailbe's School Reunion all set

Our little journey down memory lane will happen on 27th December 2010 in Roches Pub, O'Brien Street.
