Move to make jobseekers more employable

Over the past three months twelve participants have taken part in a series of training programmes provided by Future People, Training and Placement, Cashel, to enhance their skills in the area of personal development, project management and IT.
The main elements of this training is an accredited project management certification, a Windows 7 Support Technician certification and a follow up five week work placement.
The aim of this programme is to give job seekers an opportunity to increase their skills and make them more employable.
An integral part of the programme concludes with a five week work placement facilitated by local companies.
Jackie Ryan, Network Manager with County Tipperary Skillnet based in Clonmel Chamber which receives funding to deliver training to job seekers and enterprise, says that �the programme has been a huge opportunity for those who have taken part due to the training, time, investment and commitment by all parties involved.
“I have monitored the participants’ progress and admire their attitude and positive outlook, I wish them all the best for their future�”, she said.
