Team captain Anne O’Dwyer believes the defiant streak shown by the squad throughout their campaign will stand to them in Croke Park on Sunday.
“The team has shown real character this year when we have been really up against it from early on in the league right up to that semi final against Fermanagh,” said the Cappawhite player. Anne is one of the nine on the panel who had the experience of winning an All-Ireland Intermediate title back in 2008, and would love to experience that winning feeling again.
“It was amazing. I did not think I would get another chance to get back to Croke Park,” said Anne. The Tipp captain is having a brilliant year having played her part in taking her club Cappawhite to another county title this year, marking a famous three in a row.”
