Busy times for Clonmelman Shane O’Donoghue

CNN Golf anchor Shane O'Donoghue, from Clonmel, has a busy few months ahead covering the major tournaments on both sides of the Atlantic.
Clonmelman Shane O’Donoghue, who is host of CNN’s monthly golf show Living Golf, has a busy few weeks ahead. He is in Orlando this week as a guest co-host on NBC Golf Channel’s Morning Drive Breakfast Golf Show. Morning Drive brings fans the latest golf news and trends, as well as hints and tips on how to play the best golf.

Clonmelman Shane O’Donoghue, who is host of CNN’s monthly golf show Living Golf, has a busy few weeks ahead. He is in Orlando this week as a guest co-host on NBC Golf Channel’s Morning Drive Breakfast Golf Show. Morning Drive brings fans the latest golf news and trends, as well as hints and tips on how to play the best golf.

He will then travel to Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania to cover the US Open from 10-16 June for CNN Worldwide. Irish eyes will be on Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell in the hope that either can achieve a second US Open win. Irish viewers can watch CNN’s Living Golf show on Channel 506 on the Sky Digital platform or video clips via cnn.com/livinggolf. The show airs on June 6 at 10.30am and 5.30pm; June 8 on 8.30am and 10pm; June 9 at 5.30pm; June 15 at 5.30pm; and June 16 at 8.30am and 10.30pm. Shane will also be hosting video essays for Sport’s Illustrated Golf.com and appearing on NBC Golf Channel.

He will be back in Ireland to cover the Irish Open at Carton House, Co. Kildare at the end of June.

July will bring Shane (son of Helen and Denis O’Donoghue, Coleville Road, Clonmel) to the British Open at Muirfield and then he is back to the US in August for the US PGA Championship, where Rory McIlroy is defending champion at Oak Hill Country Country Club in Rochester, New York.
