A fantastic day was had by all families, novice runners and elite athletes at the Run Cahir event that took place last Saturday, in Cahir.
The beautiful route brought runners through the Swiss Cottage and by the stunning Cahir Castle. 104 people in total competed in Run Cahir and many local athletes also took part in what turned out to be a glorious sunny Easter Saturday in Cahir.
The Hughes family on holiday from Chicago were visiting Cahir for the day and saw people setting up the run route and decided to take part in Run Cahir. Their daughter Delaney came third in the 5k run, running in Converse. Athletes were also present from Spain and throughout Ireland.
A DJ was present all day motivating the runners and entertaining the spectators. Athletes enjoyed refreshments in Cahir House Hotel after the race where presentations were made to the winners of both the 5k and 10k races.
Sports AI was delighted with the success of Run Cahir and look forward to holding this event annually.
