South Board secreatry Noel Byrne ,in his report to convention, said that the year under review would not go down in history as the best year for bringing home county titles to the division.

“It is great to win a divisional title in any year but if you can win the county title as well it makes that team something special. 2012 saw county titles in Senior Football Clonmel Commercials, Junior a Hurling Kilsheelan/Kilcash, Minor A Football Clonmel Commercials, Junior Football B Fethard, Some clubse are quite happy just to win their division while others have that greater hunger to take a further step. I will accept that it is not easy to win a county title at any grade in Tipperary as it is a big county and competition is strong. I congratulate the teams who had success at winning a county title in 2012 and to Kilsheelan/Kilcash in particular on winning their first county adult hurling title” said the secretary.
