These tournaments are proving a big favourite with the players and the standards are improving all the time.

After some great darts the semi-finals of the ladies came down between Ann Cronin (Chrissies Ladies) and Martina Maher (Punters Rest). Ann won this game 3-2.

The other game was between Karen Moloney(Abbey B) and Margie Sheehan (Chrissie’s Ladies) - Karen went through winning 3-0.

The final was to prove one of the best games all day and the 3-0 to Karen does not reflect the way Ann played, but well done to Karen she is one of the leading players in the County and she did not drop a leg all day.

The high standard in the mens was again evident and hopefully this can be bought to national competitions very soon. Here Donie Ryan (Coughlan’s) was to beat Billy Fogarty (Murphy’s) on a score of 3-2 and in the other semi James O’Connor (Lady Gregory A) defeated Frankie Sage (Maher’s ) 3-0, again both these players bought the best out of each other and Donies experience was to see him win 3-0.

Well done to all who turned up and played.

Well done to all the players who turned up in Ardfinnan on Saturday night for the annual tournament in aid of Tipperary Hospice and to Dinger for organising this event.

Count down is now on for the All Irelands in the Regency Dublin at the end of this month where the county board will be sending Mens- Ladies and youths teams more information next week.

Best of luck to any county players who will take part in the Ladbrokes Players Championships in Endfield, Co. Meath over the coming weeks.
