Brilliant Ballydoyle colt Camelot has undergone surgery at the Fethard Veterinary Hospital.

The Aidan O’Brien trained winner of both the Irish and English derbies as well as the English 2000 Guineas underwent exploratory surgery for colic.

Camelot’s last two races ended in disappointment - his bid to complete the Triple Crown in the St. Leger and the Prix de l’Arc d Triomphe last Sunday.

A tweet from Coolmore Stud said Camelot had undergone the surgery in nearby Fethard.
