Fine medal haul by young Tipp athletes in national event

The National Juvenile Uneven Age & Novice Cross Country Championships took place in Adamstown, Co. Wexford. Four individual medals, one Silver set of Inter-Club medals by Clonmel A.C. Girls U/17 and seven Inter-Provincial medals with Munster were won.

Well done to the following athletes who all won medals on the day:- Boys U/11 – Conor Cadell, Templemore A.C. placed 12th and also won a Silver Inter-Provincial medal with Munster as the 4th scoring member of the team; Rachel Butler, Moyne A.C., 7th in Girls U/11 race amd she also won a Gold Inter-Provincial medal with Munster as the 3rd scoring member of the team; Emma Fagan, Newport A.C. who won a Silver Inter-Provincial medal with Munster as 3rd scoring member of the Girls U/13 team. Emma just missed out on an individual medal when she finished in 13th place; Jack Fallon, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who won a Gold Inter-Provincial medal with Munster as the 5th scoring member of the team; Orlaith Moynihan, Clonmel A.C. who was 9th in Girls U/17 and also won a Silver Inter-Provincial medal with Munster as the 2nd scoring member of the team; Ciara Cummins, Nenagh Olympic A.C. who won a Silver Inter-Provincial medal with Munster as the 5th scoring member of the Girls U/17 team; Clonmel A.C. Girls U/17 team of Orlaith Moynihan, Aoife Laste (27th), Laura Tobin (29th) & Megan O’Brien (31st) won a Inter-Club Silver team medals; Killian Cullagh, Nenagh Olympic A.C. who won a Bronze Inter-Provincial medal with the Munster Boys U/17 team as the 6th scoring member of the team; Michael Carey, Clonmel A.C. who was 5th in the Boys U/19 race & he also won a Gold Inter-Provincial medal with Munster as the 1st scoring member of the team.
