The Annerville 10K takes place this Sunday, 12th May, in Clonmel at 2pm. The entry fee is 10 Euros.

Entries will be taken at the Clonmel Vocational School, the Mall from 10 am onwards and the first 300 entrants will receive a specially designed T Shirt. Clonmel Athletic Club would like to thank South Tipperary Vocational Committee for the use of their fine facilities. The course is flat and officially measured by the Jones Counter and has an AAI permit.

The route of the race is as follows: starting on the Mall, outside the Vocational School, the athletes proceed down the Waterford Road on the right hand side to Bulmers Roundabout where they will turn right over Sir Thomas’s Bridge and then right again over Devine’s Bridge, along Kilganey and the Coleville road to the Loreto Convent. From here the athletes will be asked to keep on the left hand side of the road as they approach the Old Bridge as the water station is at Bernie Macs. Then as they approach the Dungarvan Road Roundabout they will be asked by the stewards to go on the right hand side of the road and onto the footpath. At the Dungarvan Road Roundabout they will turn right and staying on the right hand side of the road until they get to the traffic lights. Here they turn right and be requested to stay on the right hand side all the way down the final 700m to the finish at the West Gate. We would ask all participants to follow the Stewards instructions at all times throughout the race.

The Club is very grateful to the Civil Defence who will provide First Aid for the event.

We would ask local participants to come early and enter as this will allow athletes who have to travel a distance to enter without any delay.

It is great to see local charities using this Classic event to raise funds for very worthy causes.

This year the organising committee has put together a great array of prizes that will include many Spot Prizes for down the field finishers. There will also be post race refreshments served in the Clonmel Vocational School.

This year the array of Prizes is as follows: 150 Euros for the 1st Man and 1st Lady, 1st 5 Senior Men’s, 1st 2 Master Men 0/40, 0/45, 0/50 and 0/55, 1st 0/60 and 0/65. 1st 5 Senior Ladies, Master Ladies – 1st 2 0/35, 0/40, 0/45 and 0/50.
