Last weekend we held our 1st Monthly medal of the year with Player of the Year points and a Junior Medal up for grabs and it proved to be a very popular event.
The April Medal which was very kindly sponsored by Pat Twomey of The Hideout Pub in Monard was a singles stableford event, played off the white tees and with firm fairways throughout, scoring was very keen.
The winner of our 1st Medal of the year and the early leader in the Player of the Year event was Garry Feeney with a fine score of 40Pts (after countback) followed by John O’Dwyer in 2nd also with 40 Pts.
Category 1 winner was Chris Ahern with 36Pts and Category 2 winner was Martin Holmes with 38Pts. The winner of the Junior Medal was Ben Downey with a super 41Pts.
