Carrick-on-Suir girls do well at county relays

The County Tipperary Juvenile Relays took place in Thurles Crokes Complex on Sunday. Our thanks to Thurles Crokes A.C. for hosting this event and to all who helped out on the day. Thanks also to our Cross Country Secretary, Mary Doyle for all her hard work in organising all our Cross Country Championships this year.

There were wins for Carrick-On-Suir A.C. in the Girls U/10 & U/12 Relays & Moyne A.C. in the Girls U/14 race. In the Boys competition, Thurles Crokes A.C. won both the Boys U/12 & U/14 Relays with Templemore A.C. taking the title in the Boys U/10 race.

In the U/16 Mixed Relay, there was only two clubs in contention with 2 teams each & it was Nenagh Olympic A.C. who won gold & silver with Moyne A.C taking bronze & 4th place.

The County Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country Championships took place in the Turnpike, Two Mile Borris on Sunday, October 28. Our thanks to Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who hosted these Championships, to our Cross Country Secretary Mary Doyle for all her hard work in organising these Championships and to all who helped out on the day.

Clonmel A.C. emerged as the strongest Club for the Uneven Age Championships finishing the day on 40 points with Nenagh Olympic A.C. & Moyne A.C. in close pursuit on 38 points each. Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. finished on 18 points, Dundrum A.C. on 14 points, Templemore A.C. on 12 points, Thurles Crokes A.C. on 11 points, Newport A.C. on 10 points & Carrick-On-Suir A.C. on 4 points. In the individual competitions with 12 titles up for decision, it was Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who won 3 titles, Nenagh Olympic A.C., Clonmel A.C. & Templemore A.C. who won 2 each with Newport A.C., Moyne A.C. & Dundrum A.C. winning 1 each.

In the Team competition with 11 titles up for grabs, Clonmel A.C. won 4, Moyne A.C. 3, Nenagh Olympic A.C. won 2 with Dundrum A.C. & Thurles Crokes A.C. winning 1 each.
