A group of Clonmel swimmers started their mid-term break with an early morning start as they attaneded an invitational gala in Mallow.

This was the first club gala this term and the 34 swimmers attained 91 PBs and brought home 11 gold medals, 14 silver and 9 bronze.

Also, three of the Clonmel swimmers attained their B grades, Niamh Costello, Meaghan Quigley and Abby Wall, and well done to them.

It is great to see such a level of personal best swims at this early stage in the swimming year and the club hopes this will continue and result in an excellent year for the club swimmers.

Once again, we commend our coaches for their untiring efforts and must attribute much of this early progression to their tutelage.

This past weekend a number of our swimmers qualified for and swam in the Munster Short Course Championships in UL.

This coming weekend our C grade swimmers have a gala in Fermoy and our Seals host a gala at home and we wish the best of luck to all.
