The annual Stonethrower’s Rally took place on Sunday last and what an event it was!

There were 112 entries which was a great achievement for this event considering the financial times the country is in. Headquarters was at the Clonmel Park Hotel and stages were in the Cahir, New Inn and Fethard area and the orgnaisers would like to thank most sincerely the co-operation of the residents along the stages.

The weather conditions were very mixed for drivers with heavy showers and then sunshine which made it a headache for drivers for tyre choice.

However, it was the opinion of the competitors and spectators alike that it was a fantastic day’s rallying, with all nine stages running on time and no major accidents.
