Tipperary Light Car & Motorcycle Club will hold their Annual Stonethrowers Car Rally on Sunday, August 7, which is round 6 of the South East Stages Championship.
Clonmel-based company Sepam are once again the main sponsor of this event which is also co-sponsored by the Clonmel Park Hotel and Andrew Fanning Motor Factors, Cahir, all of which the organisers are most grateful to.
Clonmel Park Hotel is the Headquarters for this year’s event.
Clerk of the Course, John Ward and his team have prepared some challenging stages for this year’s event which will follow a format of 3 stages done 3 times which are based around the Clonmel-Cahir-Fethard areas with centralised servicing in Powerstown Racecourse (Clonmel). Road closing has been granted by South Tipp County Council in conjuction with the Gardaí.
The first car will be flagged away from the Clonmel Park Hotel at approximately 9am by the Mayor of Clonmel, Darren Ryan and the President of Tipperary Light Car & Motorcycle Club, Mary Slattery.
The first car to finish the event will be expected back at the finish ramp at the Clonmel Park Hotel at approximatley 4:15pm with prizegiving scheduled to take place at approximately 7:00pm.
Just to remind any intending spectators on the day to obey the Marshals’ instructions as they are there for your safety.
