Plan your summer flowering baskets with Cahir Tidy Towns

A reminder that names are now being taken for anyone wishing to plant a shrub in the Memorial Garden that we will start work on shortly and all for the cost of the shrub that will be supplied on the day.

This could be a place to remember a loved one who may not be buried in town and the names will be put on a plaque when the garden is completed.

The garden is a memorial to the late Gussy Morrissey, Town Foreman who was a great friend to Tidy Towns. We will be landscaping the steps up to the Dovecote to create this garden, more details to follow but book your plot in the Garden now as spaces are restricted.

The Cahir Tidy Towns Group had yet another very successful table quiz on Friday, February 15. The Group would like to see every shop owner purchase at least one basket and these can be booked from any committee member for €20, contact numbers are below.

They are also taking orders for Hanging Baskets and will be around to collect the empty ones from last year in the next week. Contact Andy on 0863609110 if anyone wants extra.

If you need to order a basket for your premises or want to book a spot in the Memorial Garden you can contact Andy.

We would like to welcome on board Wood view Residents Association who are planning works this coming month and also Brothers of Charity Carrigeen and Lakelands Group who are all doing some work in their area. More details as the month moves on.

We are now on Face book at Cahirtidytowns so check it out for updates.
