Busy weekend for Carrick teams

On Saturday two girls teams had home games, the under 18 Carrick/Clonmel combined team had a 12 points all draw against Thurles, while the under 16s drew ten all with St Marys.

Fay Drohan was player of the match for the under 18s while Kate English was player of the match for the under 16s.

This weekend the girls play Thurles away. The under 15 lads team played Clonmel at home in the cup but lost 10-19.They now go on to play in the East Munster plate competition.

The mens team played Mallow at home in the second last round of the Munster junior league division two last Sunday.

The visitors got off to a flying start scoring two tries in quick succession, Carrick played well against this strong Mallow team with sights on promotion, but Mallow proved too strong winning by 19 points to 3.

The last league match of this season takes place on March 24 when Carrick travel to Bandon.
