There was no weekend league action last weekend for Clonmel senior teams and the focus is firmly set on some key matches this coming Saturday and Sunday.

Our ladies are at home to Thurles on Saturday evening and are hoping to get back to winning form after their recent defeat to Dungarvan. Our 1st XV and 2nd XV are away to St Mary’s, Limerick and Waterpark, Waterford respectively and both games are big ones in these critical stages of the leagues as head to the Christmas break. With Clonmel and St.Mary’s both very much to the fore on the Munster Junior League Division 1, this clash is one that lots of eyes will be focused on. Good lick to all the Clonmel teams in action.

Clonmel RFC played host to the second game of this year’s women’s Interprovincial series on Sunday last when Munster Women took on Ulster at the Clonmel ground. Title holders Munster had overcome their Connacht rivals in Galway the previous weekend and came to Clonmel hoping to maintain their winning form. The Munster ladies duly obliged and beat their Northern rivals 15-7 on the day. With a Leinster win over Connacht, Munster Ladies now head to Thomond Park for the third and deciding game of the series against Leinster this coming weekend. We wish the Munster girls all the best.
