Munster Senior Cup exit for Cashel RFC

Munster Senior Cup Semi Final

Munster Senior Cup Semi Final

In what was a tough and at times unrelenting match in Cork on Saturday. Cashel came to an end of their Munster Senior Cup Campaign. They left the field with their pride intact after playing all the rugby for large tranches of the game but the more experienced senior side Cork Constitution put the numbers on the board when it mattered.

The Ulster Bank Division 2A League

The Ulster Bank Division 2A League is back next Saturday, October 27, when Cashel meet Corinthians away in Galway. Kick off is at 2.30pm

Mini Rugby

Sunday morning last we had practice as normal. With over 130 kids participating it was more like a summers morn with wonderful sunshine, and great fun was had by all. Our compliments to Ken O’Donnell from Munster rugby and our local hero Brendan O’Connor (better known as “BOC”) for some guidelines and coaching tips for coaches. It was very beneficial.

Practice as normal on Friday night. On Sunday next the mini U7s - U11s travel to Tipperary to the hosting club Clanwillian with Waterpark from Waterford also travelling to join us. The departure travel times are to be confirmed but it should be about 9.30am. Also on Sunday 28th, our Halloween party will be on from 3.30pm to 5pm. Fancy dress for all children and the adults can feel free to join in, in the fancy dress too... (Remember it is Halloween, the scarier the better!)

Congratulations to Patrick Butler who made his Heineken Cup debut on Sunday against Edinburgh. When he came on his impact to the game was immediate.

Last weekend Cashel Handball returned from the World Handball Championships in Dublin bringing home seven medals in total. A huge achievement and on behalf of everyone in Cashel RFC a hearty congratulations on an amazing result.
