Carrick under 17 lads lost narrowly to Kilfeacle away in the East Munster cup last weekend while the Carrick and Clonmel combined under 18 girls were away to Thurles.

Thurles got off to the better start running in two early tries. Carrick/Clonmel had all the play for the remainder of the match but were unable to catch their opponents lead. Chloe Blackmore gave an exceptional performance.

Carrick firsts were beaten by Killorglin in a Munster junior plate mudbath on Sunday afternoon. Adam O’Loughlin scored two tries for the home team and James Wallace added a conversion and a penalty but it wasn’t enough as the county Kerry side were able to take better advantage of the conditions.
