Clonmel High School U16 rugby team travelled to Tipperary town last Tuesday to play St. Anne’s from Killaloe in the Mungret Shield and Giles Shield.

Unfortunately, the High School lads were beaten 7-5 by a determined St. Anne’s team. The High School’s try was scored by Mark Kehoe. Despite having most of the possession in the second half, the High School could not get the all-important winning score.

The High School hosted an U15 schools blitz in Clonmel RFC on Friday. In addition to the home team, Cashel Community School, Waterpark College, Carrick-on-Suir CBS and St. Joseph’s Borrisoleigh also took part. It was a very enjoyable morning with some great rugby on display. A big thank you to Clonmel RFC for the use of their excellent facilities at Ardgeeha, and especially Kevin Cronin for being so accommodating. Thanks also to our referees on the day, Ian Cooke M.A.R. and Liam Lannan M.A.R.

Best of luck to our U19 rugby team who play Bandon Grammar School in the final of the Senior Cup Qualifier on Friday, December 20 in Fermoy RFC at 2.30pm.
