Carrick on Suir RFC got their Munster Junior league campaign underway with a game at home against Presentation of Limerick last Sunday, but it wasn’t a great start to the league as the home team were down thirteen points to nil at half time.

However the only points of the second half were from a Carrick try scored by winger Eddie O’Donnell. Carrick will be looking for an improvement in their game ahead of this Sunday’s outing away to Kinsale.

The under 17s fared better in a 10-5 win away to Kilfeacle, the Carrick tries coming from Michael Dineen and Aaron O’Halloran. There were good games from new players Jack Phelan and Adam Keyes.

Training continues on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6pm in preparation for the league opener versus Cashel this Sunday at home in Tybroughney at 11am, new players are always welcome.
