Clanwilliam won the O’Connor Cup with a win over Kilfeacle at Clanwilliam Park. This was a close match up until five minutes from the end when Bryan O’Rahelly scored a try following a break by John Doherty. Clanwilliam had the better of the first half and lead 15-0 following tries from Richard Childs and Conor Duggan and a penalty from Brian Kissane. Kilfeacle came back into the game in the second half and closed the gap to seven point with a try and a penalty. Brian Kissane replied with a Clanwilliam penalty before the Bryan O’Rahelly try which sealed the win.

The standard of play was off a high quality which augurs well for the future of both clubs. Besides the scorers Clanwilliam had good displays from Daniel Heffernan, Joseph Whelan, Craig Quinlan and Paul Costigan.

The under 15 squad had a very successful trip to Leicester. The trip included a match against the Leicester Vipers which Clanwilliam won by 49-19. Thanks to all the organisers and to the adults who accompanied the players on the trip.

Well done to David McCormack and Kieran Merrigan who played on the Munster Junior side in their match against Leinster. Congratulations to Saint Michaels on winning the Munster Junior Cup and best of luck in the FAI Junior Cup final. Also congratulation to Cashel on their historic Munster Junior Cup win against Cork Con.
