High School Clonmel 24

Clonmel High School advanced to the semi final of the U19 Munster Schools O’Brien Cup following a well deserved win at Youghal RFC last Thursday. They were made fight all the way by a very physical Pobalscoil team.

Playing with a gale force wind in the first half, the High School were 12-0 ahead at the break. In the second half the home team did not use the elements to their advantage, opting to run the ball out of defence when a kick was required. The High School capitalised form this adding two further tries before the full time whistle.

High School will now play Abbeyfeale Community College in the semi final in Clonmel RFC on Thursday 24 at 12pm. The Limerick school are the form team in the competition so far and will certainly prove to be a tough challenge for the High School. All home support would be greatly appreciated.
