Cashel seconds travelled to Limerick to take on UL Bohemians in the quarter final of the Munster Senior Seconds league and lost 31-12.
The difference between the teams was in the backs divisions as their backs were fleet of foot and ran from all angles.
Cashel held out for twenty minutes but in a twelve minute spell UL Bohs scored three tries in the corner. Their full back converted all three with fine kicks from the sideline. He made it 24 0 on fifty minutes with a penalty and it was game over for Cashel.
The players fought bravely and Ross Mullane scored a fine try on sixty minutes. UL Bohs made it 31-5 with eight minutes left but Kieran Murphy scored a fine try just before full time. Andy Kelleher converted. Final score UL Bohemians 31 Cashel 12.
This is the end of the road for Cashel in this competition. It was a good achievement to get to the quarter final where games with clubs in the higher divisions will help develop the skills of the younger players.
