GLEN VILLA 4 ROSEGREEN RANGERS 1
Glen Villa came from behind to go joint top of League Division 2 putting four past Rosegreen Rangers in the Glen of Aherlow last Sunday.
With overnight leaders Kilsheelan United occupied with Tipperary Cup duty it was the ideal opportunity for Glen Villa to make inroads. It was looking like the other promotion contenders Rosegreen Rangers had different ideas breaking the deadlock after just two minutes when Rory Ryan pounced on a rebound after the keeper parried his initial effort. It took Glen Villa time to settle but men from the Glen did restore parity on 20 minutes when Barry Grogan finished off a Tom Peters centre to leave it all square at the break.
Glen Villa started the second half on top and turned the game on its head on 50 minutes when Thomas Hanley was brought down in the box and Barry Grogan added his and his side’s second from the penalty spot. On the hour mark, Bernard O’Brien rattled the roof of the net with a 30-yard screamer and the same player secured the three points heading home a Jason Collins centre after 75 minutes.

CLONMEL TOWN B 1
KILMANAHAN UNITED 2

Kilmanahan United looking for their second win of the campaign dominated proceeding in the opening half and deservedly took the lead on 8 minutes when Declan Power scored from 6 yards out. Clonmel Town B still without a win in the league shot themselves in the foot conceding a penalty after 35 minutes from which Paul Cagney made no mistake.
