Tipp town soccer kingpins St Michael’s recovered from their FAI Junior Cup final heartbreak a week earlier to win the Tipperary Cup final with a 1-0 victory over holders Clonmel Celtic in Cashel on Friday night.

A Pa Quinn goal ended a four year cup drought for Saints and denied Celtic three in a row.

St Michael’s had already lifted the Munster Junior Cup with victory over Carrick United but had lost the FAI Junior Cup to a last minute Pike Rovers goal and were pipped by rivals Clonmel Town in the Tipperary league.
