Tipperary Southern and District League champions St Michael’s hope to take the next step towards a league and cup double when they take on Cahir Park in the Tipperary Cup semi-final on Saturday evening.
St Michael’s are the form team of the league, having already wrapped up the title with weeks remaining and are on course to finish the campaign with a 100% record.
That league form makes them overwhelming favourites to get over the Cahir Park challenge and go on to meet Clonmel side Old Bridge in the final.
In other cup games in South Tipperary this weekend, Old Bridge meet St Nicholas and Bansha Celtic host Glengoole United in the semi-finals of the Paddy Purtill Cup on Sunday.
Meanwhile Clonmel Celtic are preparing for their long trip to Donegal to take on Kildrum Tigers in the FAI Senior Cup first round on April 1.
