Cahir Park U13 schoolboys narrowly missed out on a place in the last eight of the SFAI National Cup with a gallant display against top Dublin club St. Kevin’s.
Having led 1-0 at half time a goal 3 minutes after the restart turned this game in favour of the home side. Ten minutes later St. Kevin’s scored a second when Cahir were very unlucky not to clear after a deflection fell to a Kevin’s forward who pushed a low shot past Dominick Mlycznak in the Cahir goal.
Hard as Cahir tried they were unable to break down a very fast and organised defence with the best chance falling to Kenneth Cunningham close to full time when the St Kevin’s keeper went full stretch to block a certain goal.
Well done Cahir for representing South Tipperary Schoolboys at the highest level!
