After their exits from provincial and national cups it was back to league football last weekend for Carrick United with a 3-1 at St Saviours

From the start they took the initiative and it was no surprise when they took the lead after excellent work by John James Keyes ended in the home defender putting through his own net.

An excellent left foot drive had Saviours level ten minutes before the break.

Just before half time an excellent Hoops move ended with John James putting them ahead.

In the second half Carrick had long periods of domination creating many gilt edged chances without capitalising. On thirty eight minutes Anthony Power was taken down in the box and Ian Cleary duly obliged from the spot to ensure the three points.
