National Cup Review

Clonmel Town’s U12 team became the first team from the TSSDL to qualify this season for the All Ireland phase of the National Cup. The Clonmel boys beat a strong East End United of Bennetsbridge 3-1 on Saturday in the Complex. Goal scorers for Clonmel Town were David Brannigan and Eanna Ryan (2).

The draw for the next round of the cup (last 32) takes place on December 8 at the SFAI National Executive meeting which is being held in the Cahir House Hotel. These matches are due to be played in February.

Next weekend the U13 teams from Clerihan and Cahir Park play their final regional round matches, best of luck to both teams. Fixtures can be view at www.TSSDL.ie

U13 Emerging Talent Programme

The draw for the Munster U-13 tournament has been made with 11 teams entering the competition.

The TSSDL U13 team has been drawn in the same group as Cork, Limerick County, West Cork, and Waterford. The matches will be staged at University of Limerick over two days on Sunday March 10 and Sunday April 14.

In preparation for the above challenge matches will be organised against other counties that we will not be competing with at the Munster Tournament. The first of these will take place on Sunday December 2 versus Wexford. The venue is to be confirmed but South Tipp are at home for this challenge match.

Communication shall be provided through the TSSDL website so please keep a check for further updates.
Player Profile – Cian Murphy U13 ETP Captain

Cian captained the TSSDL U12 ETP when his team qualified for the Munster Final. Cian has continued to impress and is deserving of the honour to lead an excellent U13 County team again for the coming season. Let’s hope he continues to achieve the same success with his team for the coming season and they go one better in winning the Munster title.
