Club Scene

An U12 Munster blitz was held in Clonmel Og’s pitch on Saturday, July 21. Cahir’s teams were all girls who will be U12 again next year and they showed their potential. They played three matches on the day winning two against Fethard and Stradbally, Waterford and losing to Middleton, Cork. Well done to all the girls and their mentors.

Our junior team played their first match in the championship against Moyle Rovers on Monday last. On the night Moyle Rovers proved too strong but the girls never gave up and battled right to the end.

Our intermediate team commenced their championship campaign with a win over Aherlow on Thursday night. They will play Moycarkey in the next round. This match is provisionally fixed for Tuesday, July 31, in Moycarkey.

The club are hosting an U14 blitz in Duneske on Saturday, August 11. Teams from all over Munster will be competing and a feast of football will be on show that day. Keep an eye on our notes for further details closer to the day.

County Scene

The Tipperary county U16 team take on Waterford in the Munster final on Sunday, July 29. This match is fixed for Cahir, throw in at 12pm. Cahir have six girls on the panel: Aisling McCarthy, Emma Buckley,Roisin Howard,Megan Burke, Keely Halpin and Carol Casey. The club also provides 3 mentors Tony Fox, Karl McCarthy and Martin Halpin. Please come along and support the girls in their quest for Munster glory.
