The Youths were unfortunate to go down 3-2 after extra time in Clonmel to Celtic in the Youth Cup on Saturday last.

They have a chance to redeem themselves in the best way possible though, when the Paul Conway / Jason Coffey - led team take on the might of a fancied Dundalk FC side in the last sixteen in Ireland in the FAI Youth Cup, this Saturday at the Park.

Come along and support one of the finest teams Cahir has produced in recent seasons.

With squad members like new additions Niall Murphy in goal, Darren McGrath up-front and junior regular John O’Connor at centre-back, regulars Mikey O’Connor, Aaron Murphy, Cormac Looby, Gerry Cronin and Niall McKenna will have plenty of help.

On the wing Barry Cooney has provided well for favourites Dave Finnane and Liam Casey whilst Paddy Kenneally, William Dunne, Kevin Griffin and Woijcek Cymeras have not let the team down this year.

Meanwhile the Park juniors have another chance of silverware when they meet Two Mile Borris in the final of the First Division Shield. The lads are already in the Paddy Purtill Cup final where they meet Ballingarry or Rosegreen.

Sunday’s game in Bohertrime saw them overcome the stern challenge of St Nicholas in the Shield semi-final, Paddy O’Donnell providing his 19th goal of the campaign after 20 mins. After the home side equalised, Norman O’Brien scored the winner with 20 mins left.
