The Tipperary Remembrance Trust has just launched a new website (www.rememberthem.ie) with plans for its expansion already in the pipeline.
Formed in 2004, the Trust, which remembers the Irish men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of the peace and freedom at home and abroad, is in the process of building an exciting new networking platform for friends, family and relatives to connect with the memory of those Irish men and women.
This idea is one of a number of new innovative ideas resulting from a collaboration with a new Clonmel-based, voluntary, job-seeker support programme called The JobsFactory.ie, which provided the technical skills required by the Trust, to complete the new site. Chairperson of the Trust Michael Haslam praised the collaboration: “Many organisations are fighting ongoing battles to access basic funding and finance to keep their causes afloat and paying their way. We have greatly benefited from this collaboration, allowing us to utilise skills in a trade off which also benefits job seekers without any financial cost to the state. This also gives job seekers a real opportunity to learn and experience new skills,” he said.
